Our firm

Stacks/The Law Firm, Blue Mountains was established by Rita and Robert Fisher in July 2007, with offices in Leura and Springwood. An independent, autonomous legal practice, the office is a member of the Stacks/The Law Firm alliance, the largest regional-based network of law practices in Australia. This means it has access to the combined knowledge and experience of 76 professional staff in 20 offices across NSW and QLD. Stacks/the Law Firm Blue Mountains can therefore provide the personal touches of a small, family firm, while drawing on the wider resources of the Stacks group.

Rita Fisher is the principal solicitor, and is a highly respected and extremely active member of the local business community. After many years as a teacher and business owner in the mountains, and currently a partner and director of a number of local businesses, Rita's local business knowledge is extensive. This, combined with her legal knowledge, gives her unique insight when dealing with and resolving issues in small business.

Stacks/The Law Firm, Blue Mountains specialises in:

Commercial/Business law, Property & Conveyancing, Wealth Protection & Estate Law, Family Law, and Local Government/Environmental Law.

In particular, Rita devotes much of her time to assisting clients with buying and selling of businesses and property, both residential and commercial. She can help you to organise your asset ownership and structure, which considers taxation issues and protects your current wealth and your beneficiaries' wealth.

For all other areas of law, Stacks/The Law Firm, Blue Mountains incorporates up-to-the-minute communications technology, enabling individual clients to access expert legal advice and have face-to-face meetings with Stacks specialist lawyers, regardless of where they are based.

Stacks/The Law Firm, Blue Mountains believes in keeping you fully informed at every stage of your matter, including giving you realistic expectations about how long your matter may take and how much it will cost. Being a small firm means we can keep our overheads down, which translates to cost effectiveness for our clients.

We understand how important it is to regularly review the quality of our legal services. Our firm continues to meet the rigorous requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard. Having been certified since 2003, we are proud to have obtained re-certification to the ISO9001:2008 standard for a further three years, following a recent re-certification audit by SAI Global.
