Annette specialises in handling Workers Compensation claims for individuals in NSW. Prior to joining the Stacks/Port Macquarie office, she worked for Roger Dalhunty Real Estate, and then for John McKenzie, a sole legal practitioner in Port Macquarie, where she handled conveyancing and commercial leasing matters. Annette is an efficient member of the Stacks team whose ability to explain complex legal issues in plain terms is highly valued by her clients.

A country girl through and through, Annette grew up in Macksville, spent a year in Sydney, then moved to Port Macquarie, where she has been ever since. She has been married for over 20 years and in her spare time enjoys golf, attending the gym, walking and spoiling her maltese terrier.

Annette’s excellent knowledge of Workers Compensation law means that she is often able to increase the amount a client can claim in relation to their injuries. She regularly sees clients who have been offered an insubstantial amount by their insurance company for a work injury, and she is able to get them to the threshold for a larger claim through careful investigation of the accident and a thorough assessment of the injuries in accordance with the appropriate guidelines. Annette recently acted for a client who sustained a back injury and was initially offered $7,000 by the insurer, but with Annette’s help, was able to sue the employer for total loss of earnings since the injury, a far greater amount than she had first been offered.

Equipped with strong negotiating and problem solving skills, Annette is passionate about getting clients the amount they are entitled to. She has a warm and caring personality, and regularly assists her clients in finding other jobs post-accident, including exploring re-training opportunities, and helping them to move on with their lives.
