James practices in the areas of civil and general litigation, including Property / Conveyancing, Compensation, Commercial Disputes / Litigation, Employment, and Wills / Probate law. In particular, he handles many Residential Sales and Common Law Work Accident matters. Prior to joining the Stacks team, James worked as a law clerk and then a solicitor at Falvey Byrnes Associates in Port Macquarie. A member of the Law Society of NSW, he has now been practicing law since 1999.

He has conducted many difficult compensation matters, including achieving an excellent outcome for a client who sustained life threatening injuries in a Motor Vehicle Accident on the Pacific Highway, despite not having given way to the oncoming traffic. The driver of the other vehicle, who actually had right of way, was found to be liable. James’ meticulous preparation and thorough research, ensures that each matter he conducts is handled with efficiency and care.

James’ friendly, easy-going nature allows him to quickly establish a strong rapport with clients. He has a practical approach and the ability to quickly evaluate the relevant legal issues. James’ showcase work has included acting for thirteen landowners who had properties destroyed by fire near Kempsey in 2003, matters which were all favourably resolved for the clients.

The father of two, James is on the Board of Directors for the Port Macquarie Community Preschool.  He is also the Honorary Solicitor for Port Macquarie Rugby Union Club, for which he was Past President in 2002, and played for some years. In his spare time he enjoys swimming and trips to the beach with his young family.

James is an experienced and respected member of the Stacks team.
