Kristan Harmer - Solicitor

Stacks/Goudkamp

Martin Place, Sydney

Kristan is an energetic and outgoing member of the Stacks/Goudkamp team. She began her legal career at Commins Hendriks Solicitors in Wagga Wagga, before joining Russell McClelland Brown Lawyers in Wollongong, and later returning to Commins Hendriks as a senior lawyer.

Kristan is a member of the Young Lawyers Law Society of NSW and the Australian Lawyers Alliance. She is admitted as a solicitor in both the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.

Kristan’s experience covers a broad range of legal areas, but she is now focused on personal injury law. In particular, she conducts Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Accident, and Public Liability matters. Her Workers Compensation experience includes a mix of physical and psychological injury cases, and she often handles disputes about wages and medical expenses. In an unusual Motor Vehicle accident case, Kristan was successful in achieving a 15B claim, an additional sum of money awarded to her client because she could no longer care for her children.

Kristan’s warm, down-to-earth manner ensures that her clients feel comfortable, well looked after, and clear about the legal process. Kristan prides herself on her organisational skills, and she applies herself to each case with dedication and enthusiasm.

Originally from Wagga, Kristan describes herself as a country girl. She has always been involved in her local community, including memberships to an extensive list of organisations, such as Women in Business, and the Riverina New Century Lions Club, as well as chairing the Riverina Young Professionals Group, performing the roles of Secretary and Coach for Wagga Water Polo, and Secretary for the South West Slopes Law Society.

Kristan recently moved to Sydney and spends time at Saint Ignatius College Riverview, watching and assisting on weekends at the schools AFL Football matches, while her partner handles the AFL program. A big fan of live music and travelling, Kristan loves music festivals, going to the theatre, reading novels and playing sport.

She is a confident and approachable lawyer who thrives on solving legal challenges.
