Following almost 30 years service and experience as a director of priviate, public and not for profit companies, Tony Mitchell recently became a member of the Australian Institute of Copmpany Directors. This membership recognises Tony's experience in issues concerning corporate governance and corporate and commercial law generally.

Stacks/The Law Firm Ballina was very proud to be awarded the "Professional Services" Award at the recent gala dinner put on for 400 business men and women by the Ballina Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

We subsequently received a letter from the Local Federal Member for Page, Janelle Saffin, congratulating us on the award.   In part Ms Saffin wrote "Small and medium businesses form the cornerstone of commerce in regional areas such as ours.  Businesses like your are generally operated by dedicated owners and partnerships like yours who contribute significantly to their local communities and communities".

We thank Ms Saffin for those kind words.  We also adopt those words ourselves and repeat them to our own clients who operate local businesses.  Stacks/The Law Firm Ballina is very proud to provide legal services to many local businesses particularly in the area of Employment Law.    Winning the Professional Services Award would not have been possible without the great support from our local clients.
