Stacks/Law Group CEO Ben Stack with Tony Young
Not only have Michael McHugh, Tony Young and their team moved to new premises at 1 Fitzroy Street, but The Law Company is also now part of the large legal network offered by Stacks Law Firm.
Stacks Law Firm has more than 200 staff across NSW, the ACT and QLD who form part of an interconnected team that provide expert, friendly and cost effective services across a wide range of legal areas.
Mr McHugh said Tamworth clients will benefit enormously from The Law Company’s association with Stacks Law Firm.
“The new arrangement provides access to the great range of expertise and skills that Stacks’ lawyers have developed over decades,” Mr McHugh said.
“Stacks makes great use of video conferencing to keep direct contact with people around Australia, bringing in lawyers best qualified to help with each client’s individual problems.”
Maurie Stack, chairman of Stacks Law Firm, is excited his family’s firm is now able to offer legal services in Tamworth through the new arrangement with The Law Company.
“We have 20 Stacks offices in NSW, the ACT and Queensland with experts from every field of law,” Mr Stack said.
“They will be available to assist anybody coming to The Law Company in Tamworth with a problem that requires their expert help.”
Mr Stack particularly values the deep local knowledge of Tamworth and its surrounding area that Michael McHugh, Tony Young and their team have built up over the past 23 years.
Mr McHugh, who went to school at Christian Brothers College and Tamworth High, has long been a strong supporter of Tamworth’s Country Music Festival, was founding vice president of the Australian Country Music Foundation and a director of the Tamworth Chamber of Commerce.
He’s sponsored local rugby and rugby league teams. His wife Carol teaches at McCarthy College and his four children are all studying at university.
Tony Young settled in Tamworth 20 years ago from Sydney and thoroughly enjoys local life. He’s raised two sons in Tamworth with his wife, coaches junior soccer, and is in Rotary.
Conveyancer Gay Bonham is mad about horses and helps run the famous Tom Quilty 160 km endurance ride.
Sue Steele was born in Tamworth and has raised five boys in town. She has strong community connections which help her as a local conveyancer.
“We are Tamworth locals, but now we are able to offer broader legal expertise through the association with Stacks Law Firm,” said Tony Young.
