Georgia is a solicitor at Stacks Davis. She was admitted in December 2020 and has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
Before joining Stacks, Georgia worked on matters involving historical institutional abuse, commencing as a law clerk and later working as a graduate.
In her role she prepared briefs to counsel, statements of claim, affidavits and other legal documents. She took instructions from clients regarding their experiences of abuse in care and liaised with medico-legal professionals in relation to clients’ claims.
She also worked at another law firm in the planning, environment and government team, where she mainly reviewed planning schemes and policy documents.
Georgia has particularly enjoyed her time at Stacks to date and has found her legal calling in insolvency and bankruptcy. In particular, she enjoys undertaking the investigative process and engaging critical thinking to formulate a claim to the client’s greatest advantage.
Georgia likes receiving documents from a client and analysing them to find out what happened to a company. She has an excellent ability to interpret information to formulate a claim.
Through wanting to help people, Georgia was drawn to a career in law while working in the corporate field. She now enjoys working as part of a team providing high quality service to clients.
Outside of work, Georgia loves going to Pilates. As a former instructor, as well as an Xtend Barre instructor, she knows how to get the best out of every workout. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, and a weekend brunch is always on the cards.
Georgia loves having a good laugh and finding something good in every day.
