Joseph was admitted as a solicitor in February 2017 and commenced work with Stacks Champion in Parramatta in August 2017. Working as a paralegal and a legal intern, he gained experience in business law, employment law and property transactions, as well as litigation and estate planning. Joseph is particularly interested in all areas of business law, small business and employment law. He enjoys finding new and practical ways to resolve a client’s business and legal challenges.
Joseph also has a professional interest in technology and media law, smart contracts and online legal services, which he encountered while working as a legal intern with the Legal and Business Affairs Department at BBC Worldwide. In particular, he is interested in gaining an understanding of technology and how it is being implemented across a number of industries where there will be a demand for legal work.
As a member of the Young Lawyers Communications, Entertainment and Technology Committee, Joseph recently attended an event at the Law Society on smart contracts and their future in legal services.
Joseph is easy to talk to and approachable. He always tries to communicate clearly with his clients and explain things in a way they can understand. He believes the key to achieving this is starting by getting to know a client well and learning about them and their business.
Outside of work, Joseph enjoys being active and participating in activities including cycling, going to the gym, running and surfing. He also enjoys cooking and watching Netflix with his partner.
