Sara was admitted as a solicitor in 2010 and is a member of the Law Society of NSW and the City of Sydney Law Society. She particularly enjoys the personal services aspect of family law and feels privileged to work with people experiencing significant life events and to be able to assist them through stressful circumstances.
She has acted across all Australian jurisdictions through her career, including NCAT, Local Court, District Court, Land and Environment Court, Supreme Court, Federal Circuit Court, Federal Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia and the High Court, at both trial and appellate levels.
At the High Court of Australia, Sara appeared with counsel on behalf of respondent parties before an enlarged bench (full court of the High Court of Australia), for the hearing of a special leave application by an applicant, whose application for special leave was refused.
She has also acted for a number of corporate clients, including corporate, government and commercial clients.
Sara likes to build and sustain good relationships with her clients and colleagues. She has strong personal ethics and integrity and is determined, ambitious and persistent.
In her community, Sara was a 2016 adjudicator for the NSW Law Society Mock Mediation high school competition. She performs pro bono work at the Inner City Legal Centre.
Outside of work, Sara spends a lot of time with her family and is into cooking, cocktails and cats. She is interested in both fine and performing arts and regularly attends the Sydney Symphony, Australian Ballet, Griffin Theatre Company and local art galleries. She is equally interested in AFL, having memberships of the Sydney Swans, Greater Western Sydney and Port Power, and she is an inaugural member of the GWS NWL.
