Stephanie is a senior paralegal in the Bowral office, where she has worked for over ten years. She works mainly in insolvency and commercial litigation.
Stephanie enjoys working in these areas of law as she likes their problem-solving aspect and complexity. Clients benefit from Stephanie’s high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Stephanie recently had the day-to-day conduct of an unfair preference claim involving complicated issues of law that proceeded to a seven day trial. The matter is significant as it resulted in the Federal Court confirming its view that a set-off under section 553C of the Corporations Act can be utilised in an unfair preference claim.
When not working, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, including her three very active children. She coaches junior rugby and is a dance mum.
Stephanie is also kept busy with her university studies. She is currently in the final year of her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of Wollongong and is also undertaking a Bachelor of Laws at Charles Sturt University, with the intention of becoming a lawyer.
