Tim is a lawyer in the Port Macquarie office, working predominantly in family law, criminal law and debt recovery.
Tim’s work in family law encompasses divorce, parenting, and property and financial aspects. He is also currently undertaking further study to become a qualified Independent Children’s Lawyer. His criminal law work includes drink driving offences, drugs, assaults, apprehended violence orders and RMS licence appeals.
Tim values being able to help clients work through all of the legal challenges they face in the context of a relationship or marriage breakdown. Many people experiencing relationship breakdowns are at a very low point, either personally, financially or both. Tim likes being able to provide assistance so that they are able to move forward to the next stage in their life as quickly as possible.
Tim likes problem solving and has excellent attention to detail. He finds that he often uses lateral thinking to arrive at the resolution of a family law matter that might otherwise appear unachievable. He always strives to provide his clients with realistic and honest legal advice and assist them to navigate the legal system to achieve good outcomes.
Outside of work, Tim is kept happily busy with two young daughters. He also enjoys a hit of golf and watching rugby league, with his playing days behind him.
Tim is very active in his local community. He previously volunteered with a local rugby league club, assisting with fundraising and the general running of the club. He is also the current treasurer of the Mid-North Coast Law Society.
