Geoff has worked at senior management levels in the public and tertiary education sectors, as an independent consultant providing management advice, and in the legal profession. His experience includes industrial relations litigation, property and leasing, commercial and administrative law advice, and workplace law.
Originally trained as a scientist before being admitted to legal practice in 1977, Geoff has appeared in a range of employment tribunals and has instructed in matters before the Supreme Court. In addition he has experience in property transactions, commercial leasing and licensing, commercial contracts and related advice, and workplace law including employment law, safety, and compliance. He is also an experienced investigator in fields such as workers compensation, corrupt conduct and misconduct.
Geoff’s managerial roles have included roles at director level in the Department of Education and the University of Western Sydney. Geoff is a Mentor in the Sydney University Graduate School of Government. His most recent such appointment was as General Manger of Human Resources in the NSW State Transit Authority.
As a consultant he has worked for large organisations in both the public and private sectors.
Outside work, Geoff is President of the Parramatta Two Blues Rugby Union Football Club, and is on the Board of the Sydney Rugby Union. His hobbies include playing live music.
